Westport is a modern-day waterfront community located on Long Island Sound and the Saugatuck River, just 47 miles from Manhattan. The town boasts excellent schools, a large public library, expansive sports facilities, fine stores and restaurants, first rate art and cultural events and wonderful homes tucked into quiet cul-de-sacs or boldly facing the Long Island Sound.

The residents of Westport enjoy swimming, boating and fishing along its waterfront at the beautiful public beaches and marinas. In addition, all residents of Westport can join the Longshore Country Club, with its 18-hole golf course, swimming pools, tennis courts, sailing and outdoor skating rink.

Westport prides itself on its artistic and cultural heritage with such well-known past and present residents as F. Scott Fitzgerald, Bette Davis, Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward.
